This Privacy Policy describes how Cynch Racing ("Cynch," "we," "us") handles information on cynchracing.com (the "Site").

Who we serve

The Site is operated from Colorado, USA and is intended for users in the United States. We do not market to, direct services at, or knowingly collect information from residents of the European Union, European Economic Area, or United Kingdom, and we attempt to block traffic originating from those regions. Because the Site is not offered to those regions, it is operated outside the scope of European laws that require cookie-consent notices.

What we collect

We collect only what you give us: an email address and optional name when you create an account, content you choose to post (bulletin-board posts, photo and video uploads, titles and descriptions), and a racer-number claim if you make one. Like nearly all websites, our infrastructure provider (Cloudflare) processes standard technical logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) to serve and secure the Site.

Cookies

The Site uses a single, strictly necessary session cookie so you can stay logged in. We do not use advertising, analytics, or tracking cookies, and we do not use third-party ad networks.

We do not sell your data

Your data is never sold, rented, lent, or otherwise disclosed to any third party. Access to account information is limited to employees of Cynch who need it to operate the Site. The only other disclosures we would ever make are to our infrastructure provider as required to run the Site (Cloudflare), or if required by law (for example, a valid subpoena).

Public content

Content you post — bulletin-board listings, gallery uploads, and racer-number claims — is visible to other visitors of the Site. Your email address is shown alongside bulletin-board posts only to logged-in users, so interested parties can contact you. Race results and lap timing shown on the Site are official public timing data published by MYLAPS Speedhive for MRA events.

Your choices

You may request a copy of the information associated with your account, correction of it, or deletion of your account and content at any time by emailing dan@cynch.me. We honor applicable U.S. state privacy rights, including those under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the Colorado Privacy Act (CPA). Because we do not sell or share personal information for advertising, there is nothing to opt out of.

Children

The Site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

Security & retention

Passwords are stored only as salted cryptographic hashes. Data is retained while your account is active and deleted upon verified request.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time; the "Last updated" date above reflects the current version. Material changes will be noted on this page.
